What's the deal with the butterfly?
You could say that the butterfly is our mascot. Somewhere back in the seventies we first worked it into our logo because we realized that Parks Printing Company and the butterfly had something in common, stunning color. Over the years our butterfly has changed and evolved alongside our company. Today our butterfly trails pixels as a symbol of our immersion in the new, digital world of color printing.
How long does it take for you to complete my order?
Most orders are completed in five to ten working days. More complex orders sometimes take longer.
Let us know about your deadlines and we will try to accomodate your schedule.
What is a "proof"?
A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements. Typically, we will produce a proof which will be sent to you online or printed on paper which can be viewed in our shop or delivered to you in person.
On multiple color jobs, we offer contract quality digital color proofs for your approval. In addition, you are always welcome to come to our shop and check your job on press.
Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?
Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after the job is completed and delivered.
Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?
Definitely. This catches errors in translation between software, software versions and computer platforms.
How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
